Norditropin Simplexx is a polypeptide hormone derived from recombinant DNA. This hormone is produced by a specially engineered strain of E. coli bacteria that has been altered by integrating a plasmid containing the gene for human growth hormone. The composition of Norditropin Simplexx includes the exact sequence of 191 amino acids found in the naturally produced human growth hormone from the pituitary gland, with a molecular weight of approximately 22,000 Daltons.

Administration of Norditropin Simplexx should be overseen by a physician skilled in diagnosing and treating pediatric patients with short stature linked to GHD, Noonan syndrome, Turner syndrome, SGA, and adult patients with either childhood or adult-onset GHD.
